So, my next assingment for overground. I can't tell you her name, Jon told me not to. My assingment read like this... "You, color this: [link] My work is done here. So I got to pick colors. Honestly, my first instinct was blacks and reds... but looking through the character roster... there's alot of black and reds. Then I was gonna do atomic green, but that was too much I thought. So pinks and purples won the day.' Also, as we all know (and I'm sure everyone is sick of reading about) is one of my weak points is over rendering and airbrushing. So I used two tones per color, that's it. Base and shadow. With the except of her jewelry and belt buckle.. they got black, white, AND grey, wooooo. I'll go back through and throw some highlights in there if enough folks think it needs it, but I honestly think it looks fine. I'll make a poll. Critique and comments always appreciative. Look through my past stuff if you don't believe me... I take all pointers to heart. Oh yeah... those are totally acid wash jeans. I went there. And as for her dreads... I know from experience dreads aren't shiny unless they're fake. That was hard, because I love to render hair. Edit- Added some more pink. Comments
i think the colors fit in perfectly
and i want a dreadlock ;_; -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- This happy idiot is taking commissions: [link] i'm getting one actually and for free too xP
i just dont know when xDDD -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- This happy idiot is taking commissions: [link] Not bad! I like the color arrangement, and I really like what you're doing to try and branch out right now. I think using only the solid hue seperations in some areas is a good workshop for you, and it actually looks really good on this piece. I'm glad to see you continuing to work on your development. Way to go! Of course, now that you've posted this, when I post mine people are going to be like, "Boring!"
